Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Biological Dynamics en oct 2013

      Entrevista

I actually had an interviewed more than 8 months ago, but recently I was contacted again for another interview. This is why I am writing this review, to help others make a wise decision. I had my interview with the CLIA Director and the CLS's that work there. This part went really good and I enjoyed my interactions with them. When I got a called back, I was really happy and excited in starting and helping a small company. I came for a second interview, this time it was infront of the CEO and CTO only, and this is when I saw the red flags. They had asked me to do a power point presentation and gave the the subject about cell free DNA. I think they were just trying to get ideas and be educated on the whole process, since they seem to lack knowledge on this base on their questions. I presented for about 40 min, and the whole time that I was talking, they kept looking on their phones and laptops. It was very rude and made me very uneasey, even nervous. Once I finished my presentation, they started to ask be basic questions about DNA and circulationg cell free DNA. I can tell it was not to test my knowledge, but to help them understand. The CTO was more personable thatn the ackward CEO, but he was still inappropriate. He made a racial joke, that I did not find appropiate for the work place. I am asian and female, and do not like any jokes that put anyone down. I have experience discrimination in my field, and do not agree with those types of jokes. Specially if you are in a high position, like CTO of a company. I got offer the job, but I had applied to another job, and politely declined. I did get offer another job, and I am really glad I did not accept their offer. All of the scientist that they hired at that time, are no longer with the company. The CEO does not plan properly and hires and fires people a lot. If you want stability, healthy work environment, and be in a professional setting, then you may not want to work here. You can judge for yourself when you meet the CEO and CTO of the company. One more thing, when I had my interview with them, both of them were dressed unprofessional. I dont mean that they were not in a suit, they were not neat. Wrinkle shirts and dirty pants, and one seemed like he had not slept the whole night and just came to work. Not what one would expect from the owners of a company.
