      Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en BetterUp (San Francisco, CA) en abr 2021

      Entrevista

      VERY long interview process. I didn't get the position because they couldn't verify my manager reference even though they were able to connect with 2 other non managerial references. bottom line; waste of time. Applied early April 2021, went through a video screener with generic questions then with manager interview the next week via video. Another week (3rd week of april) passed then it was the whole loop interview with fellow team members, technical project manager and behaviorist interview that was 3 hours. 4th week into April another interview with a Director level. Now into first week of May 2021, Manager gives me a call for a verbal offer on the phone and to wait for 24 hours. This is where it went all downhill (FYI, verbal offers mean nothing until it is in writing). second week of May 2021, HR emails me to schedule a call for update (which could have been via email instead) to set up a time with the C-level, but nothing happens. Into third week of May 2021, HR emails me again, but instead of scheduling a call for the next phase of interview, they ask for references. Fourth week of May and still waiting with the Manager emailing me that they couldn't connect to my references. I update them that I notified my references and should be hearing from them. Into the first week of June 2021, manager notifies me that she couldn't get in hold of my manager reference. Second week of June 2021 HR emails me to schedule a call for the third week of June 2021. They call me on Monday and say that my candidacy has been dropped because they couldn't connect with the manager reference. Bottom line, a lot of time was wasted, but because of my experience in job hunting I knew this was going to happen. If this company really wanted me as a hire, they would have fought and worked around my references to bring me onboard. Communication was solid, but the process was all dragged. My internal contact already gave me information about the company's lackluster need to improve and adapt - so I suppose i dodged a bullet. Regardless, by the beginning of the second month, I already got a job at a top FAANG company, so betterup was just slow in getting me as a quality hire.
