Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Better (New York, NY) en abr 2021
Entrevista
- Better reached out to me via AngelList
- Interview with technical recruiter
- Technical interview with 3rd party facilitator, Karat
I was told by several people and a lot of people online not to continue with a company that uses a 3rd party technical interview application, but I ignored it and did anyways.
I had started negotiations with a company the day before at a place I liked more and decided to not study or anything (I did end up taking the other job). Big mistake lol! The Karat interviewer was nice, but I did terribly. That said, everyone was right, it has nothing to do with susing out if you actually have the right skills for the job, and does kinda show the company doesn't care enough to have their engineers interview you, which sucks. It's a React/Redux shop and don't think the person interviewing me at Karat even knew what a component was. It was a little painful, but we tried to have fun haha! I also used to work on a different company's mortgage origination automation app and I didn't get to talk about that either because I never talked to a technical person at Better. Better seems like a great company, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for other devs!

Hr contacted me on LinkedIn, scheduled a call about general information. They use Karat for 1st round tech interview. You can redo it once, but both of results were sent to Better
