I applied and immediately was invited to complete a video interview thru Talview (a third-party digital interviewing platform). This is a little better than a previous interview that I did thru another platform HireVue, since Talview allows you to practice the interview to make sure your equipment works well rather than crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. Best Buy's process is slightly annoying once you receive the email to take the interview because I did not do my interview that same day, so that evening I received 4 text message reminders in the span of 3 hours. When I did the practice interview I noticed that there is a time difference between the practice interview and the actual interview. During practice, you get 20 seconds to read the question and determine what you are going to say before the recording of your response automatically begins which is a very short period of time. You then get 1 minute to respond to the question. This made me weary of starting the actual interview. However, when you get to the actual interview you get 60 seconds to read the question and prepare and 2 minutes to respond; again the recording stats as soon as the 1-minute prep time has elapsed. While they did contact me to inform me that I was not selected to move on it was not until after the New Year that I received this response and since I had applied for a seasonal position I had already figured out that I wasn't going to get hired.

Fun and unique, but very informative. Situation based questions and your availability. Received a call back a week right after. Whole process was smooth and easy. Even though it was for a seasonal position, they expect you to be customer oriented.
