it really wasnt bad.
i submitted the application via internet and best buy was one of the only places to call me back for an interview. i was told to dress office casual and was expected to go through 1 pre lim interview and then if i was deemed worthy i would get another interview.....
guess me not having any sales experience helped with that

Met with department head, showed the day in the life and flow. Got an offer on the spot. The manager was really cool which made it easier. But it’s a basic retail job.

Instead of a fill-out-an-online app and wait for a call back process, they held (hold) job fairs, typically close to the start of a new college year. This is because they hire a lot of students in this city, many of whom will work for the company for the duration of the education.
Instead of having one interviewer, they may send you in rounds to talk to different department managers until one "clicks" with your interests and skill set. Overall, it's quite fast paced.
I had an offer by the time I left the building, contingent on passing a drug screening. I was working less than a week later.
