Applications are submitted online. After you are screened, you are invited to an online interview (pending successful screening). In the interview you are asked to watch a company introduction video and asked about your availability.

Simple and straightforward interview. First interview is less of an interview and more of a presentation about the company to prepare you for the questions you may get in the 2nd interview. 2nd interview, two interviewers (the recruiter and branch manager) and several questions about yourself and the Berlitz company. After seeing the potential schedule I might get as an employee, I didn't want this job anymore. The work-life balance they offered wasn't exactly great, with the schedule consisting of 1. early mornings - late afternoon 2. late mornings - early evening on some days, with one day being on a weekend. Furthermore, could be expected to travel to other branches in Tokyo, and would have to constantly switch between teaching little kids to adults. The interview wasn't bad and the interviewees were really nice, and the pay they offered wasn't bad either...but, work-life balance is something that is very important to me, and its something that they weren't offering very well.
