We had been in touch with Bending Spoons for almost 9 months before I got a final offer so I know a couple of things regarding the hiring process.
The process is demanding so it requires sacrifice and patience. It took 15+ hours of tests and 3 interviews in my case.
Although there were some periods of uncertainty, recruiters always provided at least a few paragraphs of specific feedback at the end. They were also transparent about the stage we were in.
One surprising thing is that they got back to me for another role they thought is a better match.
If you intend to go through the process, I suggest you keep these key things in mind:
- Maintaining the culture matters for the company. Just be you and help them understand whether it's a good fit or not.
- The team looks for fast-learners so tests mostly measure that. Focus deeply and do your best.
- The company has a lot of resources online. Take your time to really understand what they're doing and their overall approach. It will help.
- I would suggest you not anticipate anything good or bad even if you think there are the signs.

There was nothing really technical in my case.
Behavioral questions, some mind puzzles, and a couple of data-analysis kind of tasks which might require you to use really basic tools such as Google Sheet (again, nothing too technical and the descriptions will also guide you through)

Entrevista
Candidatura online, dopo un primo screening del cv si è sottoposti a task di logica abbastanza generici e non allineati alla job description.
Una perdita di tempo e non si ha la possibilità di contattare un responsabile delle risorse umane né altri membri dell'azienda.
In compenso la valutazione della candidatura è molto veloce.
The interview process started with an online assessment followed by a video interview. The interviewers asked both behavioral and role-related questions to understand my product thinking and problem-solving approach. The atmosphere was professional and friendly, and I spoke with two interviewers who were interested in learning about my experience and how I approach product decisions.

What is one example of a product improvement you identified yourself, and how did you approach validating the opportunity and implementing the solution?
Very difficult, asked if I was a hard worker, and to prove it to them. Defs like a 996 company. Long process, had like 5 rounds of interview and like 3 rounds of testing.
