      Entrevista

I interviewed with this company at the same location in Texas 2 separate times a year apart. The first time, I made it to the final round and was ghosted. A year later the hiring manager reached out to me and let me know that the person in the role had been promoted and asked if I would like to interview for the role again. I went against my better judgement after the prior ghosting and went ahead with the interview. The first round was virtual with the prior person in the role and went well. In the second round, the interviewer sent me 4 times to choose from for an in person interview. I responded with my chosen time. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I was given strange looks. They had me wait in the lobby and 10 minutes later told me to check my email. When I did, the email said they apologized and they had all day meetings and would need to reschedule. I was confused, but showed compassion and rescheduled. When we rescheduled, the hiring manager gave me the exact address and location and suite number to a site nearly an hour away (on all toll roads) for the interview. I confirmed the night before and the day of made the hour drive to the interview. When I arrived, I could not push the button to the floor where I was told to be. I let the hiring manager know who was confused and then texted me that “there had been a mistake, please call me” when I called her, she let me know that she was actually at the office less than 5 minutes from my house and asked if I wanted to come back there or just do the interview on FaceTime. I chose the FaceTime option although I was quite frustrated. Following this call, I was selected for a final round in the office. When this interview came around, I arrived at the scheduled time and received a text that the manager would be about 15 minutes late. She ended up being nearly an hour late and I had a hard out time that she was aware of. I was introduced to the team, had a chat with the main provider, and then was verbally offered the position. I tentatively accepted awaiting the paperwork (and so I could really think about some of these red flags) but chose to move forward. I did all of the background screenings, drug testing, credit check, and provided references. All came back clear, and I was good to start and completed all onboarding items and put in notice to my current position. I later learned that they didn’t contact my references until 3 days prior to my start date- and only spoke with 2 of them which were both positive. Without warning, 2 business days prior to my start date the offer was rescinded. I was provided no legal reason- meaning it was nothing to do with any of the legal checks. Essentially, they had put my through a month’s long torturous and unprofessional process and had me uproot my life only to pull the rug out from under me with no explanation. It was a horrible experience and completely unnecessary and I would recommend ALL applicants AVOID this company at all costs.
