Entrevista
I applied for the graduate program of Barclays about a month ago, the position I am applying for is corporate banking. The location that I was supposed to apply for is London, however, before I submit my application form, the position was already closed. Therefore, I changed the location to Midland. The lesson that I learned is that we really need to apply for them as soon as possible and don't wait for the deadline, or you will lose your chance!
About a week after I passed the numerical and verbal tests, I was invited to a telephone interview. This telephone is based on competencies based questions and elaboration on my CV.
After the interview, I wrote down the questions the interviewer asked:
1. why you choose this division and why do you think you are suitable for this division?
2. What can you bring to Barclays?
3. Do you like cooping with complicated information and when is your last time to do this?
4. What do you do everyday?
5. Do you doubt your ability when you encounter a challenge?
6. What will you feel when you fail in finishing a task in time and what will you do about that?
7. Do you regard yourself as a fast learner? Give a recent example to prove that.
8. Do you prefer to work collaboratedly with others rather than working independently?
9. If your client ask you to do something unethical, what will you do?
10. If the company is reported by the media by doing something unethical, what would you do?
11. Do you keep up to date with the financial sector and why?
12. What do you regard yourself the role in a team? What would other people think about your role in a team/
13. Do you think yourself self-motivated and do other people also think so?
14. What is the last time you proactively ask someone else for feedback?
15. Do you like analyzing complex information and sort them out?
16. How will you do to build a strong and lasting relationship/
17. How would you motivate other people?
18. Is there anything you will do but other people won’t do?
19. Do you like working with a diversity of people?
20. What is the value of Barclays mean to you?
21. Do you have any questions to ask?
The questions that was asked in the interview were more than these, but these are all I remembered.
Since I just came to UK one and a half month ago and it is my first time study abroad and teach in English, I still have difficulty in English. Almost 80% of the questions I need the interviewer to repeat again.
About a week after the interview, I received a rejection email from Barclays.

Pregunta 1
1.'What do you do everyday?'
Actually, I am not quite sure what this question means....Or maybe I didn't get the questions right. I just told her the activities I always participate besides the class.
2. 'What is the value of Barclays mean to you?'
I thought this would just about competency questions and I didn't prepare this kind of question that is about the value of the company which I should have had prepared. And I really found this question very hard to answer.
