Pathetic is the word. Here is what happened. 1. HR calls me to set interview with their AVP, QE. Also sends me a detailed list of scenarios describing these are the testing related problems bankbazaar is facing and interviewer would like to discuss and see my approach in solving those problems. 2. Interviewer calls me on the specified time (10 minutes late) and the discussion happens exactly for 11 minutes. First 3 minutes interviewer telling me about himself and company and then asks me to introduce myself. I give an introduction of my profile in detail along with all the work that I have done. Second question - why are you looking out for a change. I describe my situation in detail. And then interviewer abruptly tells that he is done with the interview and if I have any questions. I told we were supposed to discuss the scenarios mentioned in the HR's email. And then guess what - to the height of my surprise and frustration he tells that those scenarios were hypothetical. The phone call ends with me asking couple of general questions. 3. I follow up with HR with the outcome - no reply. 4. I follow up again. And again to the height of my surprise - she tells that they would not be able to proceed because of unmatched technical skill set. I said what? Were there any technical question at all during the discussion? Overall experience was very negative.
