Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Bain & Company (Atlanta, GA) en nov 2010
Entrevista
Seemed like a good place to work. Very friendly people. The partners in the second round were a bit more stoic. But case interviews in both first and second round were not exceedingly difficult. I found the written case a bit more challenging as I had to make sense out of 60 slides, write three summary slides and prepare a spiel, all within 60 minutes. I still don't know what the best way to deal with this is. Formulate an initial hypothesis then look for all the evidence you can (risk being way off) or browse all slides, decide what is generally interesting and then synthesize (time is not on your side).

I applied online and got a online assessment after ~1 week. I completed the online test but I haven't heard back since then. The timeline is a bit uncertain to me.
First round case interviews. Got standard questions about profitability and market entry. IMO the most difficult part was reading complex charts and distilling the key insights with time pressure. There was little behavioral.
The interview was overall efficiently run and very professional. It had 2 stages; a case interview typical of management consuting interviews and a fit interview to assess cultural fit with the firm.
