      Entrevista

      First I was required to do a lot of online testing. 1. Comparing two sets of data and saying if they matched. 2. Looking at sets of words and trying to select a set of words that could most be related to the first set. e.g. Fish - Fins is most similar to Dog - Legs. 3. Personality testing. And some other tests along those lines... Nothing too hard. I passed the tests and got through to the telephone interview. I did not pass :(. I would like to advise anyone who applies to revise thoroughly for the telephone interview. They will call you almost right away after you complete the tests - they called me the very next day and wanted to do the interview immediately, so make sure you are prepared. First they went through my job history covering the past 3 years. If I were you, I'd be prepared to list your jobs in a way that really relates your past roles to the role you are applying for. They will also ask lots of competency based questions so get some good answers prepared for these. They asked me the following (there was more but I can't remember everything): Describe a time where you solved a problem for a customer. What is good customer service? How does broadband work? Describe in as much detail as possible. Describe a time where you challenged yourself to meet a goal. Overall the phonecall was 15 minutes long but it was really grueling. I felt like the person on the phone didn't care about talking to me and just wanted it over and done with as fast as possible. I felt like a statistic - which I suppose I was because the computer selected me to be called up. I think she had already decided the outcome before the interview started. The person on the phone isn't the person who makes the decision about whether you get the job. They write up the interview details and pass them on to an assessor panel. But I guess then you have to depend on them caring enough to write up a good review of you in order to be successful in your application.

      BT has a three round virtual interview which consists of HR round, Assessment and Ops round It is generally based on communication skills. They will not judge you on process as you have to go through the training program anyway.
