I went through external recruitment processes, which involved telphone interview followed by 1:1 in BT office. Process was well controlled and structured

Got a call from recruiter and he informed me BT need people from IT infrastructure background and he will send my CV to BT for screening. Next day i got a mail my CV was shortlisted and called for interview on Saturday same week. I reached there on time and notice that there were around 70-60 people for same role and it was total chaos. Interview process started with 1 hour delay and i was lucky i was called for first round in first batch. After around 10-15 minutes i was asked to wait as i was shortlisted for 2nd round . After the first round most of us informed they were looking for some with Telecom background and many of us were surprised as we were informed it was IT Infra. After waiting for 3 hours i was called for 2nd round and just after introduction it was informed i was not fit for role due to professional experience was in IT infra. It was shocking as CV was sent for screening and was cleared from 1st round and nobody noticed my background and after wasting my whole day was informed in the 2nd that it was skill mismatch. All the people with IT infra background were disappointed with whole process.
