First there was some phone interview/screening with someone from HR. They asked me a whole lot of general questions regarding networking, protocols, Linux, etc. I passed and got invited to an interview in premises where two IT experts asked me about some very specific details concerning HTTP methods and how did I think Amazon's datacenter was structured in terms of networking. For a technical support position, I think that was way out of scope. Maybe there were actually looking for a Network Engineer.

The interview was comprised of technical questions and soft skills. Technical questions include network troubleshooting, SQL command examples, operating systems (both Linux and Windows) configuration and troubleshooting, etc. The soft skills including a role play with troubleshooting Control-M workload automation software with a client experiencing a critical production issue.
