The interview lasted for one hour. The questions were editorial, related to the job description, and interview committee was polite and professional. It was on Zoom, the questions took 30 minutes, and the other 30 minutes were for a small exam.
there were two rounds of interviews before offering the job; first round was very scripted but the second round involved some more senior editors who were asking more specific editorial questions

3 stages
1. Online test: dur. 3 hours, situational and skill-based questions, mostly rewriting and editing;
2. In office test: dur. 1 hour, writing on a current news topic;
3. Interview in-office: situational questions on how will respond to breaking news, developing story, big story and ideas

Usually 3 people on the panel - 2 directly involved in the work and an outsider

Come with examples of
1. how you have met the competencies required
2. how your align with BBC Values
Have a question other than salary - 'what will success look like?'
Have listened to the programme you're applying to - and (if radio) the station as a whole
Show them more than just a good worker - they need rounded people with lives
