I applied online and was contacted by an executive recruiter, who was very warm and friendly. A few days later, HR set up a phone interview with the manager and one of her direct reports. The phone interview was the exact opposite of the phone screen: cold and technical. In fact, I had prepared for a behavioral interview and got blind-sided by an immediate barrage of technical questions. The job description did not contain enough material for me to determine the breadth of technologies that I would have been supporting in this role...something that left a very bad taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking. Even if I were to pass this interview, I don't think I would want to work for BB&T.
