I spoke with HR, who was incredibly kind and helpful. We didn't just speak about the job, but about my career as a whole and what I wanted out of it. Then I met with 2 more editors over the course of one week, and finally the newdesk editor who was also wonderful and seemed very supportive as a manager. The interview process was incredibly quick. If it weren't for another offer at a higher salary, I would have loved to work at Axios.
