      Entrevista

      I meant to get around to this earlier, but I had to process everything I went through. I was introduced to Avinode by a third party recruiter. This particular recruiter informed me multiple times that I was the “front runner based on relevant experience and culture fit.” You could argue experience and culture fit are the two most important elements when vying for a role. I went through 3 rounds of interviews before making it to the final round for a presentation. During my first couple rounds of interviews, I learned that I would be managing 15 accounts (maybe less). Furthermore, I learned that I would be managing 2-3 clients I already oversee in my current role. In addition to my relevant experience, I speak 3 languages fluently and have international experience working in the UK. Overall, I have over 6 years of experience in the same industry. I flew out for my final interview and learned from the recruiter that I was competing against one other person. She had less experience than me and came from a different part of the industry. After performing well in my final presentation which was about 1.5 hours, the co founder asked me to grab a coffee with him. Presumably he did the same thing with the other candidate, but I can’t confirm. They ended up offering the other candidate the role who had less experience than me. Their explanation was that they look for people with the “Noder DNA”. I asked for them to explain what makes up the Noder DNA, but I never got a response to that. If you want to interview for a company that chooses the least qualified candidate that may affect their bottom line and makes a decision on how they felt after coffee date, then go ahead and waste your time with Avinode.

      Dear Candidate, It looks like you mistakenly posted previously as an "employee" with this feedback. Thank you for moving to the right place on Glassdoor and I will repeat our response so it is clear. We understand it was disappointing that we did not offer you the role. Going for an interview takes commitment and energy from both sides, and it can feel like an insult when you don't get the job.
