I was a consultant working on a project at the site when the Engineering Manager asked me if I would be interested in talking to him about an opening they had. It was a few weeks of email and telephone conversations before I was brought in to meet the entire Site Leadership Team. typical serial interviews - one after the other, total of about five hours. It went well and I was given the impression that I would be made an offer soon. The offer did come, but it was six-and-a-half months later. They had gone through some changes in structure, and the offer came from the Engineering Manager's successor.
