I went through the hiring process of Avature which was divided into four parts : first interview with the human resources, a logical test, a writing test and an interview with the team manager. Being left without an answer after getting an email telling me the talent team was currently working on my application, I had to contact Avature myself in order to receive their definitive answer (8 days after the last interview). In the rejection email, the team pointed out my accent as an area for improvement, suggesting it slightly altered the quality of my communication. As a non-native English speaker (with a C1 certificate) who managed to navigate the entire interview process in English, I find this comment both inappropriate and discouraging. If my English level had been the real issue, I would not have passed the first step of the process. On the other hand, I still cannot understand the relevance of this comment given that the position did not require a native English level and that, as a non-native English speaker, I do not understand how I could manage to talk without any accent. I can understand that there are sometimes better candidates but this comment sounded pointless.

Entrevista
El proceso consta de al rededor de 5 partes y demoran meses en pasar de una parte a la siguiente así como en confirmarte si sigues en proceso o no. Vale aclarar que si bien evalúan aptitudes, los tests son los mismos desde hace años y no los cambian nunca. Considero poco profesional dejar en vela por tanto tiempo a los aspirantes y luego ser ambiguos respecto a la decisión tomada.
