      It was a group interview with five other candidates, the interviewer first asked us to share a fun fact about ourselves then moved on to introducing the company, which occupied most of the interviewing period.

      The process took 2 months, in which I talked to the recruiter as well as the director of the local centre where I applied for. Firstly, I talked to the recruiter on the phone, where I was asked questions regarding my interests in working with children with autism. This interview is mostly about gauging interest and motivation, making sure that it aligns with the role. I found that the recruiter was very easy to talk to and was kind enough to disclose more about the responsibilities and answer any questions that I had. The next step was to meet with the director of the local centre, however, after a month of waiting, they told me that they had to pause the recruitment process as they had to wait for clients to join the service. It certainly was concerning, as it could signal a lack of funding for the staff team, being a non-profit organisation. It would have been good to disclose this during the initial phone call. Less than a month later, I was notified that recruitment is resuming, and so I jumped on a video call with the local director. If I were to be successful however, which I wasn't, I would've had to attend a workshop to meet the team a day after the interview. The quick turnaround time highlights the inefficiency and the lack of preparedness from the recruitment and management side of things. Overall the recruitment process was stressful and uncertain, at least from my experience. Might explain why there's a quick turnover rate for the Behaviour Therapist position (thanks Glassdoor!), and why I keep seeing similar job postings so frequently. I hope the recruitment process improves in the future so no one else will go through the same thing. P.S. During the interview, I asked if there were any challenges that they have observed in this Behaviour Therapist position, and what the organisation is doing to support them to perform their tasks. The answer that I got was very vague and generic: "There's always people around to help". This answer was concerning as they may not be systems in place to help with staff burnout, given that the nature of the role is very demanding and fast-paced. I hope they do better in this regard.
