My interview process at Attention was a bit chaotic and uncomfortable. I interviewed with two different employees. Upon arrival, I was under impression the HR person I was communicating with would greet me but that did not happen. With the first interviewer, the interview room that was scheduled was booked, and instead of asking to take it, we moved and sat a large table in a huge community room, which was a bit strange. However, the first interviewer was very engaged and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say, so I enjoyed that conversation very much. I was then moved to another seated area in another community room where I met with interviewer #2. This was where I really got an unpleasant experience. This person seemed so disinterested in what I had to say. I don't think they even took the time to look at my resume (before or during the interview). I was barely asked any questions, and when I was it was given with such little enjoyment that it was honestly hard to interact with this person. I could actually see this person looking around the room while I was speaking with them. I didn't even get the courtesy of eye contact! Then, when it was my turn to ask questions, they were answered again very briefly, and almost a bit of annoyance. I was then awkwardly lead and then left at the elevator. This experience made me a bit frustrated. I traveled quite a bit and took the time to come to the city for this interview. I'm not sure if this second interviewer had already decided on another candidate or just did not like me, but as someone who is supposed to be a voice for a brand, you should always strive to make each person who walks through your door want to work for you and at least have an admiration for your company. And that is certainly not how I felt after this interviewing experience.
