Got a referral from an internship. Came in to the interview and met with a manager. It was the usual "tell me about yourself" interview. It was over in about 20 minutes or so. Got the job on the spot but still had a formally apply. It was a formal interview but at no point do they ever make you feel uncomfortable or inferior.
