Never waste time interviewing with Atlassian. I went through 5 rounds of interviews:
1. Phone screening: Self-introduction and discussion of past projects.
2. Karat: Basic HTML, CSS, and JS questions, which I passed.
3. JS coding interview: Simple JS questions, which I passed.
4. Browser coding interview: Coded a simple UI, which I passed.
5. System design: The topic was a very popular question. I had reviewed it twice on YouTube following two popular videos, but ultimately, I did not pass.
In the end, HR told me I didn't pass the system design interview and that there were no suitable positions available at the moment either. I strongly suspect that my failure in the system design interview was because Atlassian actually had no new positions open; they just wanted to keep HR looking busy. It's impossible that I failed the system design interview since I had prepared exactly for this question using very popular YouTube system design tutorials.
My final advice: If you insist on interviewing with Atlassian, make sure to confirm with HR that there are open positions. Otherwise, they might just find any excuse to fail your interview.

Recruiter reached out to me then ghosted in the middle of trying to set up a meeting. Very disrespectful of my time. Just as well, how a company treats candidates is usually a good indicator of how they treat employees
