Entrevista
I had a wonderful experience with Atlas General Insurance. I was called by the HR specialist who asked me a few questions about my background and experience. After speaking with her I received an email to go into the office for an interview with the HR team. Upon arriving to their suite I was greeted by the receptionist who was also friendly and helpful. Not only this, but almost every employee who walked by asked me if I had been helped (everyone was generally friendly). I was brought into the HR directors office and had a conversation with her and the HR specialist regarding my background, experience and career goals. Afterwards I was brought in for a second interview with the HR director and her manager- I also met with the specialist alone to discuss the goals for this role and what I could bring to the table. Overall, I had a great experience with Atlas!
I had an extremely negative experience with the HR team. I applied online, and was given a call within 1-2 days. The "prescreen" was perfunctory which consisted of one question: why I was interested in HR. The woman did not listen to my answer and quickly asked me to come in. If the prescreen had been in more depth, perhaps I would not have had such a negative experience that came to follow. I was brought into the HR Manager's office in which another team member sat all the way across the room from me to my left. This made it extremely awkward and uncomfortable as I had to keep turning my body to address the two of them. The HR Manager essentially only asked me one question: to explain my background and experience in HR. The two team members were extremely disrespectful, cut me off mid-sentences, and even made faces upon my explaining of my experience. I feel like I had been extremely enthusiastic, attentive, and respectful, so I'm not sure what warranted their reactions. When the interview finished, the manager did not even stand up to shake my hand. Without a doubt, the worst candidate experience I have EVER had.
