Quick, unprofessional, over the phone intake call today, March 28, 2023 for an EA role in Conshohocken. Focused on hard skills only. No insight on clients company culture. Very assembly line questioning. Clients biggest concern is the candidates ability to be in the office 5 days a week even when their executive is traveling internationally. I was asked 3 times within 1 minute if I could be on-site 5 days. I already clearly answered 2x so by the third time I laughed and said, “I’ve had a 1 hour commute to the office the past 30 years, so yes.” She was audibly irritated with me - like a child. When I was able to finally begin asking questions she said, “This doesn’t sound like a good fit for you.” I checked all the boxes. Had more experience than needed. Everything I said went over her head. She didn’t understand what I was asking because she doesn’t understand the Executive Assistant role that I was trying to explain to her but she interrupted me every 3 words - like a younger child than before. She blurts out, “You are being rude to me!” I literally put my phone down and walked away so I wouldn’t say something unprofessional and she says: “hello? HELLO?”. I start to speak and she talks over me again, can’t understand her and she hangs up on me, the candidate. Yes, this actually happened.
