Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Assurant (Woodbury, MN) en ene 2016

      Entrevista

Good to Horrible Experience: I had 2 interviews: one phone with recruiter and one in person with hiring manager. I applied online two weeks before recruiter called me for phone interview. The phone interview went well even though recruiter was about 15 minutes late to calling me. We just talked about what the position entails, basic qualifications, and details of my resume. I had my information transferred to another HR person and that person connected me to the hiring manager in Woodbury, MN. The manager's position was something along the lines of data operations enterprise manager. I thought the interview went fairly well because it went over an hour plus it felt like a conversation the entire time with the manager speaking mainly about himself. He said he would get back to me about 2 weeks and maybe more since i was the first person. Being respectful of the manager's and recruiter's time, i didn't contact the recruiter until 2 weeks later but i had no response until another week later when i emailed the recruiter again. Recruiter then told me the position was already filled.. -.- ... Like seriously? I don't mind that i didn't get the job but to not notify me so i wouldn't have to keep on waiting when i was the first person to be interviewed is just disrespectful. I'm pretty sure the wait would have been longer if i had not emailed the recruiter too. This is really unprofessional of the company. I should have expected this kind of low quality of respect from them since I've had bad experience with the company's insurance product and service before. I can't believe I even spent two hours perfecting a thank you card and sending it within 48 hours too. Honestly, if this is how they treat potential interns then maybe it was a good thing that i didn't get the position because it would have been awful to work there with that kind of weak company professionalism. Also, the reason i didn't get hired was because my hours didn't work with them. They want traditional undergrad students that are pursuing a four year degree to work unrealistic hours where most classes at schools will probably conflict with. They wanted 6am-noon M-F... We all know most and at least one of the classes we need within a week's schedule are only offered between those times. I don't know one person that is a traditional undergrad student that goes to college with that kind of availability unless he or she is a part-time or online only students. They say they are flexible but they are not. Horrible hiring ethics. Avoid applying to this company. Its nothing but disrespect from the company's part of the interview process.
