I applied for a role as senior Xamarin/Maui developer, a role in which I have 9 years of experience. I received a technical test to do at home that had absolutely nothing to do with the role I was applying for, so I was not able to show that I possess many of the required skills that were stated in the job post. I understand that these highly specific problems may pop up in the work that ArtLogic does, but surely it would only be a very small part of the work of a mobile developer. After a few days I received a negative reply without any feedback whatsoever. Was my answer wrong? Did it take me too long to implement? No idea. I don't mind getting a negative answer, but I feel frustrated when that answer comes without even having had a chance to show my skills. All in all, the process is very impersonal and it seems they don't really understand what makes a good candidate.
