      Entrevista

Interviews with HR and executive managers were probing and professionally conducted. The interview with a front-line contributor was very awkward as the person was not trained or versed in conducting interviews. Initial response to my application was prompt and professional. It was followed by a 90 minute phone interview with the HR recruiter. This was followed three days later by a request for available times for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was scheduled by the next day for a week later. The first interview was conducted by the hiring manager. It was conducted professionally. It included a detailed review of my employment history. The only downside was that there was insufficient time provided for me to learn more about the position and what they were looking for from it. The second interview was conducted by a person that would be reporting to this position. This interview was very awkward due to the person's lack of interviewing skills. Questions were overly general such as, "what firewall do you like". No context was provided for how the firewall was to be used so it was impossible to give a good answer. The interview was completed with a face-to-face meeting with the HR recruiter. Again, this was handled well. I was given plenty of time to ask my questions, learn more about the organization and his view of what the position required. I was also told what the next steps would be and I am waiting for them to be scheduled.
