Several months between application and interview. You give a technical presentation on an area of expertise and then 1-2 hour long interview with managers in the division. Each of the managers talk with you about the work in their division and you say how interested you are in that field.

The interview required a technical seminar, which was the hardest part of the interview in my opinion, and three, half hour interviews with various members of the team. Everything was back to back, so there wasn't much wiggle room with your time with each group. Two of my interviews could've run over if we had the time to talk more. The technical seminar was something you could prepare for, and even though you had to submit it a few days before, I was able to submit it a bit later and it was fine. Everyone was really friendly and kept talking about the collaborative opportunities and open communication within the department.
