Me postulé a través de una facultad o universidad. Acudí a una entrevista en ArcelorMittal (Hamilton, ON)
Entrevista
It was pleasant, and the questions were mostly behavioral. They care more about the takeaway from the previous experience rather than the technical details. I was very specifically introduced how the team will be like if I get the position.

I had one introductory interview online, followed by a second in-person interview with a panel of about five people who asked a wide range of questions.
Typically, companies have a clear and structured interview process, and candidates have some idea of what to expect. In my case, the questions ranged from AI and programming to behavioral topics, with no apparent focus.
Unfortunately, after that, I was completely ghosted — no one responded to my follow-up inquiries.
Overall, I regret applying to that company.

They asked a ridiculous question about a graph — something like, "Does this graph show a good position in the process or not?" without providing any context or explanation.
It felt like they were testing for intuition without offering enough information to make a meaningful assessment.

The company did not get back to me with an offer for an interview until a little over 2 months after my initial application.
I had one introductory 30 minute interview online where we discussed my background and the role, This was then followed by a second in-person interview. The second interview was broken into two parts, the first part was with the hiring manager and the general manager as well as another senior manager on the automation team. We discussed my background some more and details about operations at the branch. The second part of the interview was more technical.
I thought the interview went well, but never heard back from the company. Not even a rejection. The entire ordeal took about 3 months.

The interview was fairly easy, with mostly standard behavioral questions. They asked about my background, experiences, and a situation where I faced difficulties, whether in work or communication. The questions were straightforward, focusing on how I handled challenges and resolved issues. There weren’t any unexpected or overly technical questions—just a discussion about my problem-solving skills and how I work with others.
Overall, it felt more like a casual conversation than a high-pressure interview. I think I answered confidently and provided relevant examples, making sure to highlight my problem-solving abilities and adaptability. It seemed like they were more interested in understanding my thought process and how I approach real-world situations rather than testing deep technical knowledge.
