Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Aprimo en nov 2024

      Entrevista

This was unfortunately a disappointing interview experience. I was told my initial interview would be "technical in nature" It was anything but. A very fluffy, casual conversation. At 15 mins through this "30-60 Mins" interview I was asked if I had any questions. After this I have had to follow up a week later only to be told that it's Thanksgiving so it will be another early December until I hear back. My update was being told that there was now a "pause in recruitment for this role" and that there would be an update in 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks later the update is a generic response that the role has now been filled? So from my first interview they had other people go through multiple recruitment steps while recruitment was paused. With a generic response trying to pass as personal feedback. I received personal feedback after asking which indicated that they included other things they were looking for in the role after my interview and that disadvantaged me because they didn't ask. This interview process was NOT transparent as they try to state in their emails and responses to reviews. Why not be upfront that you went to market too quickly and another interview would be needed? This was painfully string along 5 weeks. I think Aprimo's hiring process needs to be evaluated to meet professional standards as it failed to meet those in this instance. Take what you will from my experience.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear that you had a disappointing interview experience, and that the recruitment process wasn’t up to the standard that we strive for. To address your concerns, we would like to begin by noting that the first interview is generally focused on cultural alignment and job history, although there can sometimes be technical questions. The first interview for a UX Designer is often designed as a more casual conversation to explore what engages the candidate, their preferred ways of working, and the type of organization they thrive in. It seems this expectation wasn’t clear, and we will evaluate how we can make this focus clearer to candidates. In regards to being invited to ask questions 15 minutes into the interview, this is indeed standard practice. We take this approach so that we can ensure candidates have a solid understanding of both the role and our company. This also aligns with our belief that the interview process is bi-directional: while we are assessing candidates, they are also evaluating us. This part of the conversation allows us to gauge their preparation and interests while empowering them to make an informed decision. Although the focus and this approach is explained during the interview, it seems more context is required during the call. Finally, you are correct in noting that the role expectations shifted during the process, and we recognize that this caused some confusion. Unfortunately, this change was unforeseen and occurred after the process had started. We understand that it would have been more beneficial for all parties if we had been able to communicate this change more promptly and more transparently to avoid any misunderstandings. Unfortunately, at the time, the team had been undecided which route the role would be taken in and internal discussions were still being had surrounding that. This is an area where we will aim to improve, as our priority remains focused on delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
