After applying I was asked about my grades so far in my current MS. I answered and was invited to a technical interview. Unfortunately it was about topics I had only taken in my undergraduate so they were not very fresh in my mind and I did not have a lot of time to prepare as I also had an exam at the time. In the end I did pretty badly in the interview and was understandably not allowed to continue. On the other hand if you do have time to prepare, the questions themselves aren't particularly hard and overall it seems like a fair process. My interviewer was quite nice throughout too.
