Entrevista
AppFolio follows a diligent and methodical process in their efforts to recruit A Players. Step one was a 30 minute high level phone screen done by a member of the talent acquisition team. Step two was a 30 minute high level phone screen via video with the hiring manager, in my case with the head of HR. Step three was a 90 minute video interview with the head of HR and a Manager of the TA team taking a deep dive into my past experience with a focus on accomplishments, strengths, opportunities, and reasons for leaving former employers. The fourth and final step in their process, which I did not get to experience, would have been on-site interviews with who would be internal customers from cross functional departments to assess fit. All my interactions with each member of their team were very pleasant, they were kind and timely with follow up, and I enjoyed my candidate experience.

In the deep dive into past experience, they asked the following questions for all former employment. What were you hired to do? What did you accomplish in the role? Who was your boss and what was their title? What will your past boss share as strengths in a reference check? What will they say about opportunities for improvement when we call them? Why did you leave?
