Had a phone call with the recruiter then the VP of Product. After some non-technical questions, it was discovered that they were looking for a Visual Designer, not a UX designer. The company doesn't seem to know the difference. Waste of time.

Three steps: recruiter screening, management review, case study presentation. The presentation step involved a specified format and a panel, but not everyone invited showed up. The panel had very few questions. One attendee seemed more annoyed to be there than anything else. As a professional struggling with overtime, this felt like a disrespectful waste of time.

The interview process was so streamlined and efficient.
I was referred for several positions and it started with the recruiter reaching out for a phone screen. From there I had a 30 minute interview with the hiring manger and heard back within the same day. My portfolio review was able to be scheduled for that same week which was ideal for my timeline. I was able to move onto the final round which includes a presentation on a heuristic evaluation done on their product as well as 4 back-to-back 1:1s with cross-functional partners. I heard back very quickly.
Everything was extremely quick and the recruiter was very responsive and helpful.

Entrevista
The interview process was similar to past ones all but the recorded sessions and references so early in the process. While putting aside unusual interview practices it wasn’t worth the level of commitment and time invested. Process included multiple zoom meetings over the course of a few weeks which JW as okay about and had a good time meeting the team however the last meeting for what it seems ultimately determined the outcome of my candidacy. Up until the last interview meeting things seemed to go really great but no idea on why the hiring manager passed. I reached multiple times and never got an answer on why I wasn’t made an offer considering I wasn’t paid for my design exercise and time. The least they can do is pay me for the design exercise and not just leave me stranded with questions.
