I was approached out of the blue earlier this year by Chris, an AppDynamics recruiter. At the time I wasn’t looking for a new role, but I was impressed by the initial phone conversations so agreed to come and meet with him and the hiring manager in person. What followed was a structured, professional but challenging recruitment process. The initial meetings were very informal and an opportunity for both sides to assess each other for fit and interest. The later stages were a combination of technical exercises, presentations and interviews culminating in a final stage interview with the Regional Sales VP, that I now look back on this one of the most challenging experiences of my career. Throughout the recruitment process, Chris was there to support me in a professional and enthusiastic manner. He gave excellent advice on how best to approach each stage of the interview, in line with by the hiring criteria used at AppDynamics. When he called me to make the final offer, I was able to hear the joy in his voice as he went through the package step by step, and I was, of course, delighted to accept. I’ve now been in for 3 months, progressing through the well structured and excellently supported onboarding program and I can’t recommend AppDynamics and Chris highly enough.

Introductory meeting with hiring manager. Work sample leveraging AppDyanmics. Fairly technical - need to be savvy with the command line. Took probably 8 hours. Then reviewed answers with the manager, who was super helpful in answering questions. After that had a chat with a teammate who helped answer my questions.
