      Everyone I talked to was very nice and seemed like great people. What scared me away was the contract. Your contract may be different from what I received so make sure you review it. However, what I was offered was basically a boot-camp that costs $10-12k and accrued interest at 1% per month right away. The contract said there is no expectation of employment after the training and I could be expected to pay the "debt" for any reason. The trainers seemed very smart and had a good training plan. I would bet that it is a good training program but I would not bet $10k plus interest. I understand the contract is necessary to protect the company because they could lose money on lazy people and the trainers should get paid well. The part of the contract where the loan accrues interest immediately was the deal breaker because that didn't seem necessary to protect the company and seemed slightly greedy. The fact that they take around 35-40% of your first years salary combined with a very high training fee makes the offer hard to accept. 55k is a good entry level salary depending on location. But if you don't get placed into a job right away or you're put on a short term project, that "one year" could very easily turn into a 16 month contract and the 55k/yr turns into 40k/yr

      We appreciate your appraisal of the interview process and thank you for your feedback. Certainly, our people are very nice and provide an excellent training experience. Our training is approx. 2 months long and it is a very thorough program. Trainees who complete this training really do gain a lot of skills and experience in their respective technology. We have a very high percentage of trainees who are hired by Apolis and begin to build their careers through the training they obtained. We also provide a way for such employees to earn a very competitive base salary. Unfortunately, it seems that the writer's understanding of the contract was not correct and we would like to talk to him again and explain the training terms to clarify and clear his doubts.

      Thank you for your comments. Apolis offers a training program to non-employees. The trainees do not perform any work for Apolis. The training program is an intensive 2 month program. It is designed to quickly launch the trainees's career in his/her chosen technical field. Successful trainees will gain tremendous knowledge of the subject matter and most are qualified for entry-level (or better) positions with Apolis' clients.
