Initial email interactions with a recruiter and sources to discuss background and availability. Scheduled initial interview with hiring manager. Prior to interview with hiring manager, I sent a follow-up email to everyone I had interacted with up to that point asking for more information on the screening (had zero info up to that point outside of the hiring managers name and time we would meet). Hiring manager was late to our call so it felt rushed, but overall it was a good conversation. Basic questions around: why Anthropic, some recent products I had helped lead, KPI and data insights for those products, and a question about a past failure and what I learned. After hearing anything for multiple business days, I reached out to the Talent Team again - with no reply. A week and a half later I got a canned response email letting me know they decided to go another direction. Anthropic is still an interesting company, with an amazing product, but their Talent Team needs to work harder at engaging with their pipeline. Probably one of my worst interview experiences to-date.
