The recruiter emailed me via LinkedIn to set up an interview. We set up a time and I did the interview via the phone only for her to talk to me for less than 5 minutes. First she asked me to tell me about herself and I did. She asked me if I had any apparel management experience and I told her no, however I am more than qualified to do so as I have worked in other venues of retail very successfully and even as a district trainer over the last few years, and she automatically said they were looking for someone with more experience in apparel and that if their assistant manager position opened up in 2-3 months, she'd keep me in mind for that position. I felt very offended that she didn't even follow through with a complete interview to gain knowledge of my skills and expertise and automatically declined me for not working in apparel specifically, isn't that the point of training someone? It was a huge waste of my time and I found it rather offensive especially because she clearly saw on my resume and application that I had not specifically worked in apparel before.

Really fast process. Interviewed with another store manager and district manager all in 1-2 weeks. Got a response from the District Manager a couple days after the interview. Very nice people and environment!

First I had a phone interview with District Manager. Then an in person interview with District Manager and another store manager. The position was ultimately given to another manager within the company.
