After four rounds of interviews (recruiter, hiring manager, test presentation, 1:1 with team), they said I had to take an IQ test. I looked it up to see what the IQ was all about and found that there were a lot of math questions. I pushed back on the recruiter, questioning how an IQ test made up largely of math problems could measure my potential performance as a WRITER. She said it was standard at Angi and that everyone in the company takes it. I accepted her response, but still was miffed about it. The test is timed to see how quickly you can answer. And, even studying a sample test takes time.
