Applied online- was sent a a personality test via email. Received a call to do a phone interview ( 20 mins ) . Received an invite to do a in person interview. Filled out paper application. Did a one on one with the immediate supervisor. Did a panel interview with the same supervisor and a sales agent. Given salary information and sales commission information. Did a skills test- basic call center test. ( 2 hours ). Got a call three days later to do a interview with the branch manager and job shadow. ( 2 hours )
My take on the company is that the do seem very friendly and it looks like a easy going sales job. They told me that they do not have have quotas but have goals. From what I can tell, all the leads are warm. It's people calling in to get a quote for a policy not you trying to do cold calls or drumming up business on your own. Most people should be able to reach their goals.
Very small operations, looks like the max was 15 people in this office for sales- they currently had 13 and needed one more person. ( When I spoke to them- they recently had two people leave. )
It also appears that the staff is fairly young- I did not see anymore to be older that 45 including the Branch Manager. Average age seems to be in the mid 30's.
Office was nice- it is only a few years old- equipment was also nice an new. Lots of space between cubicles but it is open. The systems are outdated and old.
The job- they were very clear on their expectations- and what the job entailed. This is not just a sales job but you would have to do all the customer service as well. I think that is why they do not have hard sales quotas because it appears that half of the time you would be serving the customer.
