I would have rated this as a "positive experience" had it not been for the sudden ghosting at the end. As many other reviews have noted, they move quickly in the interview process, but will ghost you at the very end if they found another candidate. This is in spite of the fact that the hiring manager told me that she "would get back to me quickly." I don't know if it's a company policy, but very unprofessional to leave people hanging. Just send a generic rejection email.
In terms of the interview process:
(1) Application submitted 7/15/21.
(2) Request for a phone screen 7/21/21.
(3) Did initial phone screen with a recruiter on 7/23/21.
(4) Did a webex interview with hiring manager on 7/30/21.
(5) Did the full panel interview with 6 different senior managers on 8/12/21.
(6) 8/19/21: I emailed the recruiter one week after the interview to follow-up, she did respond the next day to say that she was still waiting on feedback from all of the hiring managers. But since then, all communication ceased. I tried once more on 8/30/21 and nothing.
Another website claims that they simply interview people quickly for the sake of checking off boxes to say they interviewed a diverse set of candidates. So in reality they tend to have an internal or preferred candidate already in mind. It doesn't matter how well the interview goes, it's all just a formality.
The actual interviews are based on the STAR interview method. So many of the questions are behavioral, such as how do you resolve a conflict? Or walk me through X on your resume etc. All of the managers are kind and polite. There aren't any tough questions, but I still think it's unprofessional for the way a company of this size and scope handles rejections.
I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me about a phone screen. Before the phone screen even happened, another recruiter reached out to me and said I was moving forward to a conversation with the hiring manager. The recruiters didn't know each other and didn't know what was happening either. Nevertheless, I did both calls.
The hiring manager was late and completely disinterested...as if my resume accidentally landed in her lap and she meant to interview someone else. Our call was supposed to start at 2:00 pm. She arrived on the Webex at 2:05. She couldn't even pretend to be interested in asking me any questions and basically said she had nothing more to say by 2:18. I tried to give thorough responses to her 2 questions and it was just met with "oh ok". I tried asking her questions since we had until 2:30, but she didn't seem interested in that either... like someone was forcing her to take the Webex.
And of course I was ghosted after and I still have no idea what happened.
