I was initially contacted by a recruiter for Amgen who did a phone screen, then I did another phone screen with an HR manager. After that I interviewed with the hiring manager and several team members, them I interviewed with a group of managers from a cross functional group, then I interviewed with the site head of quality.

I applied online in early October. The hiring manager reached out to me for an initial interview over the phone. After two weeks I got a notification via SMS that the recruiter would like to speak to me. The conversation went well, and I was told that my background aligns well with the role and I would likely be considered to move further in the process. A few days later I was scheduled for a panel video interview consisting of 4 people, and that lasted about 40 minutes. The panel interview was a bit difficult, some of the senior members did ask me some common questions but consistently asked me to elaborate further. My final round was a video interview with the hiring manager again and this was about 50 minutes. I definitely felt more comfortable speaking with the hiring manager face to face and things did seem like they were going in the right direction. I asked about the timeline and was told that they were looking to make a final decision before thanksgiving. About a week later I got notified by an automated Workday email that they went with another candidate. I reached out to the hiring manager for feedback and was told it was a difficult decision but I was considered as one of the finalists. The entire process took a little over a month.
