Received email to setup a phone screen with one of the Directors of Property Accounting. Phone screen was approximately 30 mins. Went really well and felt great connection to the interviewer and really felt ACC was a great fit. 2nd interview was a Skype interview (due to me living out of state) with a panel of 4 Directors of Property Accounting. Was not intimidating. They all made me feel comfortable. Questions were to get a sense of who I am and if I would fit well with the organization, department, and the position. The panel interview with the Directors was about 30 mins. I was then able to interview with 2 Property Accountants (one senior and one staff). I got a sense of who they were, their opinions. This made me like the company even more, and I began to hope for the offer soon. A 3rd interview was setup with the VP of Property Accounting. This was a 30 min phone interview. The interview went well. Continued to develop sense of department and how well the organization fit into my ultimate career plans. I maintained thank you letters after each meeting. The initial hiring director maintained communication with me to keep me informed. They even inquired about my availability and if I had any other prospects for positions outside of ACC. Finally received a phone call this past Friday to let me know they were not filling this position, and instead only filling the Staff Accountant position which is an entry level position (which was being advertised at the same time). It was a great interview process. I was bummed I did not receive offer, since I felt great throughout the entire process. The organization's values and mission aligned perfect with that of my own. I was encouraged to maintain communication in case they decided to pursue the new Property Accountant position in the future.
