I met with the interviewer over Amazon chime for a 60 minute “phone screen”. Amazon chime continuously crashed throughout the interview. The interviewer arrived late and told me they had bad cell and internet reception. We continued the interview anyway which required us both to repeat everything 10-15 times to each other because the connection was so choppy. I was told to prepare for STAR behavioral type interview questions but the interviewer decided to throw in a pop technical quiz halfway through the interview and challenged every line of my resume. The process seems to be extremely slow and they will avoid answering any questions about salary or job expectations. They are also keen on making sure you’re willing to relocate even if the position is remote.

The interview consisted of 5 1-hour interviews of 1-2 people each. Two questions were used to measure my ability to read code. Nearly everything else followed STAR-format interviews; telling stories about my past work experiences.
