Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Amazon (Sídney) en sep 2019
Entrevista
A good cop, bad cop movie scene is probably the best way to describe the so-called "loop interview" process at AWS. Do lots and lots of prep, because you will be asked many behavioural based questions, involving very little engagement and conversation with the interviewers. Eye contact is virtually non-existent as they are furiously typing your responses. Some of them seemed quite grumpy that this interview was an unwelcome distraction from their day-job. In the end, you hardly have an opportunity to ask your own questions and to evaluate if this is the right job for you. It's very one-way traffic, and I felt like they actually don’t want to answer your questions; it’s all about them putting you under the spotlight. Feels more like an exam than an interview, and I came to the conclusion that this is probably indicative of their high-pressure, "continuously raise the bar" culture.
7 to 8 rounds in total including interview loop including a bar raise for L5+ levels and above. Took about 2 weeks to conclude and hear back from the recruiter.
great overall, no issues, clear questions. HR was very kind and respectful. Prepare yourself well for the cliche questions in order to ensure everything goes smoothly. Good luck . . .
The interview process was surprisingly easy to navigate, from the initial contact to the final interview, everything was well-organized and efficient. The communication was clear and timely, making the whole experience quick and stress-free. I appreciated how straightforward the process was, allowing me to focus on demonstrating my skills and experience.
