First contact by phone, then 4 hours interview on site with 4 different people. It may sounds a little bit scary, but they do anything to make you feel at ease. They were very kind with me. Questions are very experienced related, you need to prepare for the interview with almost 6-7 real work situation you encountered and be ready to provide them all the details. Not many technical questions, but more like psychological interview. I received the offer the day later the interview, but I declined. I don't really know why, because the offer was pretty good compared to other employers in the area. I think I screwed up in the decision process, and I was not really convinced in the type of job. Now I regret the choiche really much, because I realized it was a very big opportunity to speed up my career. Think really carefully about it if you receive the offer, and don't take impulsive decision based on what you've heard about amazon working conditions.

They ask a lot of technical trivia questions that have nothing to do with the job. They like hearing stories about how you raised the bar and/or made your prior job better. Be familiar with the STAR method.
