Since I was already in Japan at the time of being hired, I simply walked in to the regional hiring manger's office and was interviewed on the spot. For those residing in the US it may be harder to interview for a job in Japan, where I worked, since they are more focused on direct hire from people already living there. I can not speak as to the interview or hiring process for jobs in the United States.
