I applied to AlphaSights after finding the position advertised on my university's career service page. I was contacted by the company and asked to record myself answering some randomly chosesn questions from their video questionnaire. My advice: have your CV in front of you at all times. I was asked about my first job and couldn't remember which one I had included in the version of my CV I sent AS. Also, don't leave the video assessment until late in the day when you're tired, practice a few times and know your answers by heart instead of using notes. Be enthusiastic. I have a second round interview coming up this month via Google Hangouts, outcome is unknown.

For my phone interview, the interviewer seemed impatient and did not try to engage. Just asked questions and recorded my responses. Phone interviews are difficult as is, but compared to other phone interviews I have had, this one seemed the most unfriendly. Made it difficult for me to feel comfortable throughout the short conversation we had.
