The interview process began with a project/task that was far more extensive and complicated than necessary, followed by an interview. They seemed not to understand how to schedule an interview while taking time zones into account (e.g., they scheduled me for an early morning interview in an email sent after midnight my time). It was only during the interview that they revealed their expectation for working hours beginning at 5:00am my time -- this was not communicated in the job description or in any of the recruiter's emails.
